Overview

The police view provides officers with a mobile-friendly interface to locate registered parties based on noise complaints. The interface prioritizes quick lookups with minimal data exposure.

Data Display Model:

The interface maintains a filtered subset of party registrations based on active search criteria. All displayed parties are:

• Sorted by proximity to current time (closest first)
• Updated in real-time as filters change
• Limited to date range and location criteria

Search & Filter

Date Range Filter

Officers can filter parties by selecting a date range (inclusive on both ends). The default filter shows only parties occurring on the current date.

Proximity Search

Officers can search for parties near a complaint address:

• Enter address using autocomplete search bar
• System filters to parties within the configured search radius (default 0.1 mile, configurable via NEXT_PUBLIC_PARTY_SEARCH_RADIUS_MILES)
• Map displays search location with a radius circle overlay

Additional Field Search

An "Advanced Search" button sits below the proximity search. Clicking it expands a dropdown revealing per-field filter inputs for all party fields except address and date, which are already covered by existing controls. If multiple filters are added, they are applied together to narrow results.
